 The site is supposed to give a spooky dark look reflecting Zim and Jhonen's works, but also to be bright enough for the happy-Poonchy-thingy. Dark dark blue is no good... I'm not sure what to use other than dark blue...

Alex, I know - the database that drives our site is surely humongous and 11 800 fonts will be hard to re-categorize. But I can't escape the feeling that DaFont (forgive me) is way better in terms of categorization. For example we have only 37 fonts in HEARTS category, but we're missing important RETRO category. ESOTERIC is another blurry category... Industrial is again not exactly clear. Tell me what (and you guys here) think about this....

OK...I don't have a pic, but I know what this font looks like. I saw it first on 1001 Free Fonts, but after searching the site in my sleep-deprived state, I didn't see it again.
The font looks like letters sinking into water at sunset...very esoteric and moody, Creature from the Black Lagoon-esque.
Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

When you say two fonts, are you referring to the "brothers chaps" one as well as your "eLIMental" one? Either way I have the eLIMental one for you: Blue Highway, by Mr. Ray Father-Of-The-Freeware-Font-Community Larabie. And I must agree, very licious it is too.

Nothing exactly like it I'm afraid. But if you can live with an R that does not match the Interstate or the Expressway could do the job. A freebee is the Blue Highway.
