25 posts view forum post #147 Read my discussion with Alex. It looks like we have to start all over again. Sad are the people that have to live without a history. Join me in putting some pressure on Alex that he keeps our history accessible, please. I need all the support I can get. - re: is this the new forum?

14 posts view forum post #9788 Does anyone have this old font? I found a disc called "Expert 2000 Fantastic Fonts" that includes this font but no one seems to sell it anymore. It was around back in the Windows 3.1 days. If anyone has the Thomas Paine font around I would be happy to send a few bucks for it! Please email me at spamthisidontcare@juno.com Thanks! - Seeking Thomas Paine font
11 posts view forum post #15505 It did not just disappear. You confirmed 'overwrite' without first making a back-up. As it is a commercial font you can not get it for free. Certainly not here. We prefer to keep the site up ... - re: Really Really need - Neuzeit GroTBol,GroTReg,
10 posts view forum post #13670 No, unfortunately I'm not being involved in a new project for a daily newspaper. It was possible some months ago, but the people who were starting it changed their minds and are actually thinking about an online daily. However, what typefaces would you use for titles, and which for text body, subcaption and such? I've always supported the use of Melior (http://www.linotype.com/1222/melior-family.html) for the body, while a traditional Franklin Gothic (http://www.linotype.com/463/franklingothic-family.html) would have worked out nice for the titles and boxes. So, what would be your pick(s)? - Making a daily newspaper.
10 posts view forum post #4554 I'm thinking that there's a very good chance that you're tired of hearing from me with my little projects. Each of these projects, though, means a great deal to me, and I thank you for all of the help you have given me thus far. I don't blame you for not replying to my last post, it wasn't really worth replying to anyway. But I really need your help here. I'm going to be making what might be my last 'film' which will be based on the classic film, "The Godfather." You may or may not be familar with it, because I have no idea what films are released in Germany and what films you like to watch. It's really none of my business anyway. Back to business, though, I made a little picture that shows two examples of the font. I remember seeing the font before, but I have no idea where to find it now. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find this font and safely give me a link to it (a little Mission: Impossible humor). If you can find one with the hand holding the puppet as a letter or number or something like that, that'd be great, but my main concern is the actual text used for the words, "The Godfather." Thanks in advance for any help you can give me and thanks for all of the help you already have given me! - Ute,
9 posts view forum post #9489 Hey again, Got another request...I am looking for some stained glass freeware fonts similar to ITC stained glass one (which I bought and really like). For those who don't know, ITC's stained glass font has letters against a stained glass background. Somewhere, a few months ago, I saw a font that was quite similar...at another font archive. I cannot remember the whole name....it was called "____ Cathedral". I believe there were initials before the name "Cathedral", like KD or something. The font is basically a freeware version that is similar to the commercial version (but is NOT a copy) of the stained glass font. I was wondering if there are any fonts like that one around? Also if you find the ___ Cathedral font could you provide a download link? thanx! Lynda :) - stained glass fonts

8 posts view forum post #16251 Yes. It is possible. That is, in theory. If it was practically possible wouldn't you think it would be used all over the place? You probably will have to wait for W3 and CSS3 before there will be a common standard. And even then, if there are font embedding restrictions it still won't work. Alas, a dream ... or rather, a nightmare. - re: How do I make visitors see the font in my site if they don't have it installed?
