I'm writing a 300-pages resumee and I need to choose wich font to use. I want something formal but with that touch of design that makes all the difference.
Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance. - What font to use - Help

Ivan, there probably is no need - that image is 300 dpi and stands 17 inches wide -- that should be good for almost any reproduction they choose... - re: Font of our Company

kat is back! :o
identifont doesnt do all that great of a job i am afraid and your eyes and memory start failing when you have to do it for 9,300 wacky fonts like AF has.
What i am planning on writing is using whole bit of AI to do the thinking and memorizing for you, from a provided image. This will also be handy for things like "here is a pic of a font i like, give me 30 from this site that are similar". Doesnt that sound handy?

you are around that limit that ME can support.. depending on amount of memory available... try moving about 200-300 fonts out and then installing those fonts...
i dont see any other reason for them not to work. I have installed them on my computer and they worked just fine

well, there is a "bookmark" option. adding "download bookmarked" could be an option. however, i would have to put a limit on that.
how about 300-400 bookmarks can be saved as a zip file?
great idea Natalie! - re: Package deal?

In more cases we couldn't identifying a font maximality, cause the images submitted too small or blurring over.
A few bit treatment can be solve the problems are:
1. The best resource images is material scanned from any media with 300 pixels per inch resolution. And also 21 cm wide is good. If the font images from web source, please searching a big or medium sample images from the source. Crop the image just in the "font" which you want to submit, and changing the resolution to 300 px by Adobe photoshop or any software available.
2. Change the file to B/W. Take sharpening and editing the edges as much as it is needed.
3. Reducing resolution with image size button to 1000 pixels wide or high (choose the longest)
3. Save as with "safe for web" button (Photoshop)
4. Playing the measurement file by "low-medium-high" resolution with radio button until you get 100 pixel lower.
5. Apply save and get the result.
It can help the master font here to ease identifying the font or you can identify the font yourself by (for instance) www.myfonts.com :-)

how many fonts have you installed on your system? windows goes ga-ga when you have around 1000 installed...
try uninstalling whole bunch of them or better yet, move like 200-300 of them out of the windows/fonts directory to a different one and see if the "install new font" button will appear.
let me know what happens in any case
