1 matches view forum post #16374 Thank you! That's definitely close enough for my purposes; just need to stretch the S's a bit and add a little flourish to the A's and E. MUCH appreciated...
1 matches view forum post #6675 I am searching for a specific font type, near exact as possible. Can you help ID this font please? I believe its a Flourish or Zapf Chancery style, but am unable to find an identical match. (pic below and attached) Thank you, iukini
1 matches view forum post #8233 Like every other fontaholic, I'm looking for a particular font. It was the title for the movie 'The Black Stallion'. It is a very Arabic style with a nice flourish on the 'S'. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/primitive_cave_girl2002/detail?.dir=5c86&.dnm=4522.jpg&.src=ph If that link doesn't work, please let me know, I really need to find this font. Thanks a bunch, Raven Mane
1 matches view forum post #19000 uploaded image - I'm hoping you can help me identify the 2 fonts in the attached document. - I was told that it was Minion Pro (Regular and Semibold Italics), but some of the ligatures and extensions do not match Minion Pro or any other font I can find. Please note the way the "f" and "i" in "find" flow together, and the double "ff" flourish. This differs from the original Adobe Minion Pro font:. If this is a bootlegged font, it's awfully sophisticated. - Eagerly awaiting your reply, and with thanks!
1 matches view forum post #10290 Remembered a free Capital Initials font that feels like the Savoy and the one you are after: Gothic Flourish. Hope this helps.
1 matches view forum post #12176 Yepp, she is our pro. And there is Mr. Mc Gee not to forget and Ivan, too, and of course Alex. And some I have forgotten over the holidays, sorry. Back to the topic: Just want to add for the flourish initials some similar looking ones: Ayres Royal from Wiescher. or Rothenburg or Ruritania which are discussed at this thread. Humm, back to holiday-mode ...
1 matches view forum post #8780 You are SO THOROUGH, and far more nuanced (not to mention experienced) than I, when it comes to fonts. I did a print screen from the page where I found a version of Parson's Italic, and then did a cut 'n' paste from your Shelly Andante (Bitstream) image for comparison: http://www.MyOnlineImages.com/Members/Terre/images/ParsonsItalic.jpg The CAPS in the version I found (which is a corrupt file) have more of a flourish (which is what I liked) plus the small "l" is more open. Some of the smaller case letters, besides the "l" might be different, but it's impossible to tell. Other than that, I don't see much of a difference. Keep me in mind if you EVER come across the Parsons Italic that no longer appears to be available. Also, I have this post set to notify me of replies, so if by some miracle anyone happens to have it in their stash of fonts... :o)
