comment view details for free font #14613 As for the old fonts, I just issued them so that people would know what to look for when they download the new one. I don't care about them because they're obsolete now.
comment view details for free font #14613 Anyway what this font newly has is characters for Ancient Greek, Glagolitic and Japanese.
comment view details for free font #14613 This is the explanation of it: The underscore and title No14 (_No14) is just a version number, yet required as not to confuse it with the previous version when using a word processor, it doesn't have anything to do with the name of the font itself. The name Kinryu does have something to do with the name of the font, the name Kinryu is the font of the Japanese characters, which supercedes the name Laurier on the grounds that the Japanese characters are a font in and of their own right. You can remove the old ones if you want to because they're not good for anything anymore now that the new one has come out.
comment view details for free font #14613 This version of Kinryu does not really have all of the characters for Chinese, rather those characters will be converted into circles with question marks. This font has been extended so as to include ancient Greek characters, Glagolitic and a few new Japanese kanji. Those characters which are converted into question marks by this font are not available in this font; That is because those characters are meant for the study of Japanese only.

comment view details for free font #14593 Furthermore the reason why it must be called Kinryu and not Laurier is that the seventh version of Laurier is the last version of the font without any Japanese Kanji: Kinryu No8 is actually a fifteenth version of Laurier, the eighth of which has Japanese kanji.
comment view details for free font #14593 The difference is that Kinryu_No8 has Kanji characters for Japanese: Whereas Laurier No7 does not. It is called Kinryu No8 for the reason that seven other versions of Kinryu were made by me for myself before finally releasing this one, which has over five hundred Japanese kanji.
comment view details for free font #14593 This is Kinryu No8, a font with Japanese kanji. The spacing on this font was not thought of well enough, so use a manual space between the kanji instead.
