Cooper font.. a step up, or a step down from Comic Sans?

I think Comic Sans takes the brunt. But Cooper is just as guilty. It gained brief recognition from the Vote For Pedro campaign but really it will forever be the go-to Shirtique font. (and Garfield)

Don’t blame the typefaces, blame the ones who use them. And most of them aren’t designers but computer users.

right, but when is it appropriate to use Cooper or Comicsans?

and have it be taken seriously?

I brought this up because my boss, who usually uses Tekton or Comic sans for his report titles. I saw a stack of reports on the printer today in big ass Cooper Black. which isnt better.

whats the attraction to those typefaces?

Urgh, your boss seems to deserve some design lessons.

There are lots of discussions on the web about the attraction of Comic Sans. There are many arguments. My 2 cents: Pre-installed, round, looks not so formal, and name starts with a letter which is on top of the font scroll list on the PC.

I hear you on that schwalberngkoingering

My boss is not a designer, he's a dumb COO that likes to spice things up with funky fonts.

kirk, I though that this forum was "full of douches"? Or I'm mistaken?
