Font Alternatives

I have been going through my font archive in the last few weeks and have realized that I am very tired of Times New Roman, Goudy Old Style, Gill Sans, Humanist 521 and Arial.

Does anyone know of truly elegant alternatives to the above?

The other thing I've realized is that I need is something rather like Herculanum (which I love), but with upper and lower case letters. Does such a thing exist?

Humanist 521 is exactly Gill Sans.

The most important contemporary Sans typefaces you'll find at the handpicked section of http://typographica.org/

Try Helvetica rather than Arial.
