Font Identification Request: Resolved

Hey everyone,

I'm wondering what font is used in this image: http://www.marines.mil/_assets/img/logo-usmc.gif

Any help would be great, thanks!

Could be (difficult to say with a pict as blurry as this) Colossalis Bold or Black, stretched a bit. Colossalis, how appropriate!

Thanks for the reply! Here's a better picture:

How is it possible! Colossalis it is!

One simple question - why not show that pict in the first place?

I didn't find that pic till later, the blurry one was the first thing I ran across. Thanks for the help!

EXACTLY what I've said in the thread about the font recognition requests - people ALWAYS throw the first pic they find. Phew

Good job on the Marine font but what about the font that they use in their logo? I'm wanting to cut this out of a piece of metal.
