This magazine changes typography like there was no mañana. The cover you show uses totally different types than the cover originally shown.
No, of course no Franklin Gothic Condensed, I know. But the the thingie shown can be most any condensed sans. So, rubbish in ... rubbish out.
I would rather say that this is a custom typeface, not available to the public - which is very common with the big magazines. This typeface roots are somewhere in DIN origins (look at the D), but the K and R are simply horrible, in my opinion.
Well...what do you know...I have the suspicion that it's the Monotype Scene Black - not sure about the D tho...
