I need to find (and will cheerfully pay for) either the font below or something very very similar.

most likely not a font. Unless the "t"s used in "Metta" were from upper-lower case. As you can see they are different.

Check handwriting category, there are many many fonts and im sure something will match well.

Thanks Alex, and I shall check out handwriting fonts. There is something of the same feel to Letraset's CHILLER, and I may decide to go that route - I was looking for a font with the slightly rustic feel of Oriental bamboo brushwork.
