Hi, this is my first time using the members forum on this site.

I recently started making fonts. They're quite unique, as I use extra large graphics for the source glyphs. In some of them, the character glyphs are almost five inches high at 72 points.

Unfortunately, the file sizes are too big for most sites that sponsor freeware fonts, so they've received little exposure.. Several of them are between 1.3 and 2 MB. They open VERY slowly in preview, but they work fine when installed.

A 13 glyph demo version of my new font, HaydenPanettiereBats, was completed a couple of days ago. If the sample graphic looks interesting to you, the direct download link for this font is

This one, and my other ten fonts so far, are available on my homepage, hosted by Luc Devroye:

Luc also provides free font hosting on his website, so if any of you are amateur font makers, he can provide a page on his site for your creations. He's a professor of computer science at McGill University in Montreal, and he has unlimited bandwidth for his site.

It's worth your while to check these out, if you like dingbat fonts. Please leave a comment in this thread if you like them.

Thanks,

~bobistheowl
