Hi,

I am trying to recreate this logo in high resolution:

In order to do so, it would be best to have access to the font used in the original logo.

I seem to have identified the font as "MVB Celestia Antiqua".

Unfortunately, that seems to be a rather expensive commercial font.

Now my question: Is there perhaps a free font that looks similar to Celestia Antiqua? I have already found "Caslon Antique" to look similar, but if you know of any better option, please let me know :)

Regards,

Chris

The Caslon Antique seems to be very near, because of the defective spots and somewhat rusty look.

But go and try the search machine at www.fontseek.com with the keyword "grunge". There is a somewhat similar font "Grunge Petina" and other corroded Fonts, but they all have not the elegance of the Caslon or the Celestia.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Actually I ended up using a normal Caslon font (which is not as "thick" as the Caslon Antique and better resembles the Celestia) and corroded the edges artificially via photoshop.

The result fortunately is close enough to what I wanted. So thanks again.

Regards,

Chris
