I need help. The font used on video boxes on the back, where is says "A film by ... Starring ... "...." Edited by ... Music by ..." you know what I mean. The writing is kind of squashed together. Is this a actual font they used for this effect, and what is the name of the font. Or if it is just a normal font with a effect to it I'd like to know.

Thanks

This one got me for a while too. Although there is no one font for this purpose (designers are obviously free to pick and choose their type, and frequently do), I found that for the traditional credits on DVD and video packaging like you're describing, Bitstream's Zurich Light Extra Condensed absolutely does the trick. But there are plenty of alternatives kicking around.
