anyone has ever dealt with anything that was about or involved patter recognition?

i am planning on writing a program that would recognize fonts from a submitted image...

anybody?

What language would you be using for this? I don't think this is possible with PHP but propably is with C++ or one of the other advanced languages.

yes, i am thinking C, one of eldest and most powerful languages. Which, I am very comfortable with C, especially after writing a compiler for some fake language in it.

I have some good links and will post them when I get home as they are on that computer.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. My computer got messed up and I am in the process of fixing it. The links were on it so once I get it up I will post them.
